The University of Florida’s online Master of Arts in Art Education is a 36-hour comprehensive program that can be completed in as little as two years.
The University of Florida’s art education program recognizes the evolving contexts and responsibilities that art educators face today by preparing its graduates to pursue their professional practices in ways that engage critical, collaborative, and interdisciplinary approaches. Our graduates teach art in schools, museums, community centers, senior care facilities, libraries, private studios, and other educational settings. They make substantive and positive contributions to community and society, conduct research that applies contemporary theories and practices in visual arts and design education, and become leaders in curriculum design and improvement in the classroom. Our commitment to innovative art pedagogy, new technologies, contemporary art practices, and current issues makes learning in our program uniquely dynamic.
